HUBLI: Noted playback singer Sonu Niigaam will perform in Belgaum and Hubli this week as part of as his three-city tour organised by Connect Films Media and Desitara.com.
Chief Executive Officer of the website Mansur Ahmed told presspersons here on Tuesday that the singer would perform at Phoenix Residential School Grounds in Belgaum on Saturday evening and at Railway Sports Ground in Hubli on Sunday.
Along with Sonu Niigaam and his troupe, three upcoming singers have been selected in a nationwide talent hunt organised by Desitara to perform in these two cities. Mr. Ahmed said the company was involved in encouraging budding artists by giving them the opportunity to perform live with noted artistes.
Besides the winners of the talent hunt, one singer from the region too would be given an opportunity to perform in the show at Hubli and Belgaum.
Director of the website Sanjay Narendra promised that the audience could expect both Hindi and Kannada film songs, as well as a dance programme at the show that has been titled ‘Knock Out Sonu's voice your choice'.
Mr. Ahmed, who is also in charge of Connect Films Media, said the film production company also planned to produce a film involving young talent discovered through Desitara.com.
