After the success of his collaborative single Indian Levels, Sonu Nigaam is once again partnering with Universal Music for the release of his new album India. Scheduled for March release, the album features around seven to eight tracks.
He will also be composing music for two Bollywood projects, namely Super Se Upar and with Bickram Gosh on Jal. The duo has also recorded the film’s title song with Shubha Mudgal. The song will feature ragas Marwa and Puriya with a blend of rare musical instruments like the armenian duduk. Speaking about his new projects Nigaam says, “It was nice to collaborate with Bickramji for Jal, when this project was offered we immediately decided to work together. Jal is heavy on classical whereas Super Se Upar showcases contemporary tunes.”

Not divulging much on the new project, Nigaam states that his earlier project with Universal was successful and he hopes for the same. “I want it to be a surprise. You will know what the album is about once its release next month.”
Apart from that, the singer is also the part of the Hindi dubbed version of the Japanese animation film The Mystical Laws. Composed by Sri Lankan music duo Bhatiya and Santhush, the track Aa Chale was recorded in Mumbai.
Furthermore, the singer will also compose music for two Bollywood projects, namely; Super se Upar and Jal this year. The singer will associate with Bickram Gosh as a composer for Jal. The duo has also recorded the film’s title song with Shubha Mudgal. The song will feature ragas Marwa and Puriya with a blend of rare musical instruments like the Armenian Duduk.

Upar showcases contemporary tunes. I am first a musician and then a singer. I have been playing harmonium and several other instruments. I also program music, my sense of music and musical arrangement is different and I like to work with people who have sense of good music.”
