Nigam put on an uninterrupted 3- hour high-energy performance to for the over 20,000-strong crowd at the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha’s fund raising event.
The highly energetic crowd went crazy when the Bollywood sensation sang his ever popular Kal Ho Na Ho.
The versatile Bollywood playback star not only sang his way into his audience’s heart, but also belted out some moves that would put the actors to shame.
president rightfully puts it, it was onw of the best shows and sustained performances.
Nigam’s performance was so breath taking as Guyana’s president Donald Ramotar joined the singer and the duo performed the ever popular indian oldies Suhani Raat, as the Guyanese leader wasted no time in slipping in a few dance moves.
Ramotar later described the concert as one of, if not the best ever to be held in the Guyana.
He was the complete package singing, religious, romantic and hot dance numbers from the vintage collection to todays favourites.
The packed stadium seemed to fuel him as he lauded Guyanese for their “deep rooted culture” and admitted that even India need lessons from the South American country’s. Which has deep ties to India, since a large portion of its population are off-springs of Indian indentured labourers
Everyone crowd left the Stadium Arena evidently contended as many was overheard saying it was a fantastic show that catered for all genres and ages.
Among some of the other songs performed Salaam e Ishq Ishq and Mohamed Rafi’s Saab’s Kya Hua Tera Wada and Chahonga Mein Tuja.
Proceeds from the concert will go towards constructing a home for battered women and children in Berbice.
