Sonu Niigaam - Creativity & expression !!

India has always been known for its music, but the recent success of AR Rahman at the Oscars has put India on the global map in a manner that has made the West sit up and look at us. Artistes like Sonu Niigaam, Salim-Suleiman have collaborated with international artistes and broken all barriers.

With the large Indian diaspora spread out across the globe, Indian artistes are performing regularly abroad on world tours. However, as of now, that is more with regard to Bollywood-centric artistes and music.

Digital technology is a fast emerging proposition for music consumption in India, be it on PC or mobile. Initiatives like ArtistAloud.com is a promise to the consumer as well as the music fraternity to build the one destination that will cater to the niche market as well as the masses, based on their taste and style of music.

Currently, the biggest trend in India is the live scene, which has given birth to a large number of music talents despite the lack of major labels adopting them.
