Antharatma - Kannada, Music Now Released !!

It is a devil’s work? Is it a Bootha Cheste? Yes it seems from the description of ‘Antharathma’ briefing of the media. In two cases the witch craft comes in to affect – one for love failure and the other one for taking revenge. These two are clubbed in newcomer B Shanker’s ‘Anatharathma’ Kannada cinema that has finished the shoot and the audio was released at St John Medical College auditorium in Bangalore on Saturday evening. Kannada audience saw such witch craft from the days of ‘Naa Ninna Bidalare’ till ‘Yaradhu’. The graphics is very special in this film you see and tell says director B Shanker with lot of enthusiasm.

Mithun Tejaswi, Vishaka Singh and Rohan Gowda head the cast of this debut direction of B Shanker. He studied direction in Kannada Film Directors Association and later went to USA for studying the nuances of film direction in Universal Studio. Shanker worked for sometime with director Kodlu Ramakrishna before taking up this film.

What is notable at the audio release of this film made by actor, producer and director Dwarakish is that one lakh CD’s have been sold by Promos 9 headed by Krishnakumar. After the film release it would increase to 2 lakhs he says with confidence.

Giridhar Diwan has scored the music for the songs in the album of ‘Antharathma’. KG Krishna and M Jayadev are the executive producers of this film.

Who can forget Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze romancing to Righteous Brothers Unchained Melody in the Hollywood blockbuster Ghost? This was moderated by psychic Whoopi Goldberg, of course. Cut to Sandalwood, and Antarathma promises to recreate equally magical moments for the Sandalwood fans.

“I play a dead mans spirit who wants to protect his wife. While the concept is pretty similar to the classic, Ghost, we have our own little adaptation in place,” says Mithun Tejasvi, who plays lead in the film. Playing his love interest is Vishakha Singh of Housefull fame, while Umashri has essayed the role of the psychic in this film.

It was Mithun who informed us of the Kannada rendition of Unchained Melody. “Lola Lola, sung by Sonu Niigaam, is going to have the popular tune,” he says.
Mithun, who has been dabbling with both Tamil and Kannada films lately, feels that the audience will truly enjoy this film. “I consider the script to be the hero of the film. Im confident that Anatarathma will satisfy the audience,” says Mithun, whose film is slated to release later this month.
