One such fan is singer Sonu Niigaam, who discovered Madan when he was 14, learnt two ghazals of his and sang them to win an all-India competition organised by Delhi's Sangam Kala Group in memory of Master Madan.
"Ten years later, I did my research on him and introduced his songs on TV through `Saregama', the talent show, which I then anchored," he recalls.
