Apart from taking the world by storm with his excelling singing talent in Hindi cinema Sonu Niigaam has been equally active and appreciated down south for his singing. And latest entrant is a Kannada music album Neene Bari Neene whose two songs are slightly influenced by music maestro late R D Burman’s old Hindi music.
‘Naa Ninagaage’ from his album is a very soulful one and Sonu’s love for Pancham Da’s music is quite noticeable in this song. His modulation takes one down to memory lanes of one of RD’s best composition - ‘Kuch Na Kaho’ from the movie 1942-A Love Story.
And that is not it; even his title song of the album has qualities like foot tapping melodies and moving lyrics as those of Hindi film golden era of 60s and 70s. In today’s era when such beautiful music and lyrics are difficult to find Sonu’s new album has this quality which is refreshing.
This talented singer’s songs have always marveled the music lovers and yet again he has the potential to impress his fans by the golden touch in the songs of Neene Baari Neene.
