As a festival committed to establishing India as a global destination for the arts and at driving cultural tourism, DIAF 2009 has in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India planned the DIAF-ASI Heritage Series. Set to be held across the best known monuments of the 5500 year-old city of Delhi, DIAF-ASI Heritage series will see the likes of Sonu Nigam and Hariharan performing at Red Fort and Purana Qila respectively. A special ghazal evening will be held at the Town Hall in Chandni Chowk. Incidentally, this will be the last performance at Town Hall since the MCD plans to tear down the structure to make way for a multiple level parking lot. The evening at Qutub Minar features the Wadali brothers for a beautiful evening of their well loved numbers. August 15th Park at Red Fort brings you Sonu Nigam on 10th October, while at Purana Qila on 14th October, singer Hariharan belts out the wide range of his most popular numbers.
