Sonu Nigam Ft In Ferrari Ki Sawaari - A Music Reveiw

Director : Rajesh Mapuskar
Music : Pritam Chakraborty
Lyrics : Swanand Kirkere, Amitabh Bhattacharya, Guru Thakur and Satyanshu and Devanshu Singh
Starring : Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani, Vijay Nikam , Nilesh Divekar and Vidya Balan (special appearance)

The start of ''Maara Re'' may sound somewhat similar to ''Jumma Chumma'' (HUM) but it ends right there as the song unfolds into a totally bombastic, 'masti'-cum-inspirational number that has it's root in Marathi music with lots of usage of Hindustani musical instruments. A whole lot of singers like the highly talented Rana Majumdar, Sonu Nigam (who comes in briefly), Aishwarya Nigam and Ashish lend their vocals to this 'dhamaal' number. The entirely situational number is quite fast paced with a raucous feel, and since the film is about a young cricketer (most probably a batsman, as is evident from the lyrics) this all out sports song will be loved by the cricket crazy nation. Furthermore its appeal is enhanced by some highly apt and humorous lyrics by the multi-talented Swanand Kirkere, who has shown his writing artistry in many of the recent VVC films. The way Swanand urges the lead protagonist to go on and score runs by using lots of cricketing lingo like hook, bouncer, sixer, fielders, umpires etc is fantastic, and the song will definitely come alive when portrayed on screen, and the audience too will enjoy it wholeheartedly.
