A musical collaboration that brought together the best of East and West for an artistic performance, the Absolute India Ensemble featuring legendary music composer Pandit Pyarelal Sharma’s memorable songs being rendered by Sonu Nigam and conducted by Kristjan Jarvi (permanent Guest Conductor at the London Symphony Orchestra), was a smash hit at the du World Music Festival over the weekend. A mixture of 12 superb artistes including acclaimed violinist and composer Dr. L Subramaniam, playback singer Kavita Krisnamurthy, musician Pt. Bhavani Shankar and playback singer Amit Kumar lit up the stage.
Also performing at the festival last week was guitarist Matthew Garrison and Trilok Gurtu as part of the Human Element evening. Pictures from the events
