Sonu Niigaam To Sing A Life Saving Song 'Jilo Jeevan Ji Bharke"

RAJKOT: Pallav Pandya is a composer with a difference. His mission is to save people who want to commit suicide. He has composed a song "Jilo Jeevan
Ji Bharke" which has been uploaded on Youtube

It has been viewed by hundreds of people and won lots of appreciation from the non-government organizations. Falguni Pathak has promised to sing in Gujarati even as the Marathi and English versions of the song are on the verge of being released.
Pallav is also planning a Bangla version of his song. He has sent the song links to many NGOs and institutions which are working to prevent suicides. Maitreyi is one of them. Pudducherry registers the largest number of suicide cases. Kumar Mahi, who works for Maitreyi, the NGO based at Pudducherry, said the song can be used as a supportive tool.

Avesh Ramsunker of South Africa, Dweep from New Jersy and Charmy from Lokhandwala Complex Mumbai, listen to "Jilo Jeevan Ji Bharke" to cheer themselves up whenever they feel depressed.

The song works as an antidote to suicide and removes the feeling in one to commit suicide, claims Pallav, a resident of Rajkot, and a veteran musician for over 30 years. He is trained in classical music and learnt Jazz from American musician Deewood. An adept keyboard player, Pallav worked with Asha Bhosle for seven years and has now teamed up with playback singer Sonu Nigam. He has performed for many NGOs too.

"I counsel three persons daily. It is very sad to know that at least 250 people kill themselves daily. These people don't approach psychologist for different reasons. I am in my own way trying to save precious lives by cheering up people, who are depressed, and also counsel them," said Pandya, who has sung the Hindi version with Abhijeet Sawant. Sonu Nigam has made a promise to lend his voice too to the song.

A BSc in chemistry, Pallav studied Neuro Linguistic Programme of Joseph O'Connor and about motivational skills before getting down to compose his "Jilo Jeevan Ji Bharke".
